Party season is almost upon us. Now is the perfect time set up your game plan. Not only do you need to prioritise what events to attend but you also need to plan just what to wear. This is the perfect time to browse through your favourite shoe shop as well. Retailers everywhere are eagerly offering sales and
discounts to help you ease into this festive season. So just what are you going to wear?
DressesGo ahead and burn that little black dress, this year is all about sparkle and shine! If you haven't picked one up yet I suggest hunting down a sequined number in your favourite colour. Or if you don't want to think about it too hard, stick to metallic hues, silver and gold aren't just for miners anymore.
Oasis has a beautiful selection of these shimmery dresses.
Don't want your dress to outshine you? Then pick up a brilliant gem-coloured number. Crafted in satin, dresses in green, blue and red are taken to a richer level making one think of sapphires, emeralds and rubies. This teal piece from
Fashion Union is begging for a dance floor and a glass of champagne.

RED! If there is one shade giving black a run for its money this year it's red. It seems that everybody is worked up about something right now, so why not make a passionate statement in the colour of passion itself? From celebrities to socialites and on down to the receptionist at the office, everybody is finding their flush. I found mine over at
Dorothy Perkins in the form of this red waterfall dress.
Boots and ShoesSo, you've settled on an emerald green ruffled frock but you still want to add some flash, can you still have it? Yes, yes you can. I'm sure you've noticed the return of the stiletto pump, how could you not, they are everywhere! I'm fine with that, it's my personal belief that every girl needs at least one pair of gold lame' platform pumps at some time in her life.
New Look has easily my favourite variety of gold shoes available right now. I give you exhibit A; Chinese Laundry open toed stiletto heels.
But it doesn't stop there! With imaginations running wild, shoe designers are busy making that last piece you put on the most noticeable part of every outfit. From polka dot pumps for those 50s flair skirts to animal prints and every shade of colour possible, shoes are becoming the foundation of great partywear. How much of a statement you make with your shoes depends on how far you want to go. I'm a fan of Iron Fist, they make rock n' roll shoes for the sexy rebel in all of us. Feeling more space age? I swear I saw Judy Jetson wearing a pair of these red
Schuh Mouse Feature Heels once upon a time. If the site of these duelling shoe styles is tearing you apart never fear
Viva La Diva has these choices and oh so much more.
