The Jubilee is over and I am tempted to say, 'thank the Lord'. Don't get me wrong, the extended break was great fun (Scotland for the golf was epic by the way) and it was great to spend some quality time with the family etc but the three day week that followed was painfully busy.
Now I know we are meant to talk about ways to save money on this blog and not promote irresponsible spending but I reckon we have to allow ourselves the freedom to have a bit of fun every now and again. After all, with all the savings we've made so far this year, we have to do something with our cash and what better way to spend it than to have the odd cheeky flutter?
Having only been around for just over 20 years, it might seem strange initially to nominate such a young company for the title of Brand of the Week. However, the impact that Paddy Power has had in that relatively short time merits their place in our illustrious list.

Only a week to go until Brazil vs. Croatia kicks off the 2014 World Cup, and at Savoo we have been struck down with serious football fever. By The Man About Town - A single man in London who likes to spend but who likes to save even more!
Like a lot of guys I like lists, I find things like Top Fives amusing. It could be the top five women in the world you would most like to date, the top five movies to watch or even Desert Island Discs, which is similar to a top five. Why we guys do this I do not know. Maybe it's because we have nothing else to talk about, being so one dimensional! Either way, it happens and recently my mates and I have started a new top five - "Things in your life you couldn't do without losing."
Now obviously this doesn't mean parents, siblings, girlfriends etc but,
instead, is more focused on things in the home. My current top five: Dishwasher (I couldn't wash up)Washing machine (I couldn't go to the launderette)TV (could I live without Sky Sports?)iPhone (ok, not a home item but still…)Broadband (how could I work from home?!)
