For almost as long as I can remember, my televisual stimulus has come directly from the expertly manicured hands of a certain Mr Murdoch. His grasp over me was hypnotic, his service supreme and my love of his flagship UK brand SKY was more like an obsession than a relationship. But recently this obsession has been more Richard Burton and Liz Taylor – a fractious, angry and unstable obsession that, frankly, is doing neither party any good at all.
I never thought this day would come but I am happy to admit I am talking to the lawyers about getting a divorce from Miss
SKY
as I know things can't stay the way they are. Being a weak male,
however, I do need to find a replacement immediately as, like many men, I
can't live without someone and I think I may have found her already.

The magic of Christmas has finally hit Oxford Street as Robbie Williams flicked the famous switch this week in front of a 20,000-strong crowd. The former Take That star lit up the heart of London as he pressed the button with the help of former Spice Girls singer and Heart FM presenter Emma Bunton.
Robbie is currently celebrating his chart-topping tune Candy, in addition to fatherhood after his wife Ayda gave birth in September. Nevertheless, he took some time out to bring festive cheer to the capital and was joined by the likes of boy band Lawson and songstress Leona Lewis who also performed at the Christmassy occasion.
Speaking at the event, the Angels singer said: "Tonight's event was incredible – the Oxford Street crowds were amazing and it was fantastic being part of the celebrations."

I pre-ordered a new magazine, The Simple Things, a while ago. It took no longer than two minutes of reading the marketing spiel for me to make the decision to lay down my five pounds for three issues of this brand spanking new magazine. And for weeks since then I have been eagerly checking my [...]

Money Saving Tips
By The Man About Town
As I sit at my desk and look out the window, normal service has resumed. The rain is lashing down and more severe weather warnings have been issued than Premiership footballers take out injunctions. But last night was different; the sun was shining and cricket fans in London flooded (sorry about that pun) into the Oval for the Friends Life T2O game between Surrey and Kent. Luckily for me I was there too, but not part of the masses – no, no – I was there as a guest of
Webgains in a corporate box. A mighty fine way to spend an evening, if I do say so myself.

Stuff We Like

I know it's about to snow and I know the recent hot weather is nothing more than a blip but summer's just round the corner and that means a new set of sporting events are imminent - and if you, like me, are excited by that then read on!
When I used to play cricket the early season always presented mixed
emotions; delighted the season was about to start but upset by the fact
you had to wear two jumpers and that your hands experienced a pain men
can only presume comes close to child birth when you didn't time a catch
quite right. One on the end of the fingers in May is man pain. My
cricket playing days are few and far between now but, if I still played,
I would be looking for some
good deals for new spikes, whites, bats and pads. Doing some research it appears
these guys look to be offering some good free delivery at the very least.

Stuff We Like
It is with pain and anguish that I use this week's post to inform you of my current ailment. It seems that I have become afflicted with the curse of the 5150, a condition that will take a rather hefty amount of cash to cure.
