There’s only a couple of days left until the well-deserved four day weekend is here. And if your Easter weekend is shaping up to be anything like ours, yours is going to be full of gorging on chocolate, family fun egg hunts, and spending time with family.

This year the double header bank holiday weekend falls on Friday 19th April to 22nd April, and boy are there tons of eggsellent free activities happening around the country – both chocolate and non-chocolate related. Instead of spending your four day weekend in a chocolate egg coma, take a look at this eggstravaganza of Easter weekend activities we’ve rounded up for you. Whether you’re after ideas to keep the little ones entertained or in the mood for some kid-free bank holiday fun, these bank holiday shindigs won’t cost you a penny!

What: Daytime Family Block Party

When: Easter Sunday, 12pm to 3pm

Pop Brixton
This popular south London hangout is hosting a free bank holiday family party complete with hip-hop and soul DJs, food stalls, dance competitions, kids’ colouring in and family games. Bring yourselves and your Notorious K.I.Ds down for three hours of guaranteed fun. There’s no need to book, just turn up and get your jam on.

Join over 20,000 people to watch this iconic Easter spectacle on Good Friday. This 90 minute portrayal of Jesus’ last days is both moving and heartfelt. The production is open air with a showing at midday and 3.15pm. What better excuse to pitch up with a picnic blanket and snacks? With multiple big screens you’ll have a cracking view of the action wherever you sit.
