The IARS International Institute Youth Leadership Awards 2016

The IARS International Institute

We are pleased to announce that today, The IARS International Institute Youth Leadership Awards 2016 takes place at Borough High Street, London; and we expect thousands of inspirational young people to come together to celebrate youth participation, leadership in research and social problem solving.

About the Awards

Since 2012, IARS has been running its own annual awards aiming to celebrate and reward cutting edge research and youth leadership from around the world. In fact, the Awards began as a response to the 2011 riots when thousands of people rioted in several London boroughs and in other cities and towns across England.

The aim of the awards is to recognise and reward outstanding young people that contribute to The Institutes’ mission to create a fairer society in which everyone is given a chance to actively participate in social problem solving.

Following four consecutive successful Awards Ceremonies, IARS will maintain this tradition and once more celebrate young people who are making positive contributions to their communities. The Awards Ceremony will be held today, on 8 December 2016, at the Roxy Bar and Screen, 128 – 132 Borough Street, SE1 1LB.

Keynote Speakers include:

  • Dr. Theo Gavrielides (IARS’ Founder and Director)
  • Mr. Neil Coyle MP for Bermondsey and Old Southwark
  • Rt. Hon Lord McNally (Chair of the Youth Justice Board)
  • Rebecca Palmer (Education and Youth Team, Mayor of London)

There’s still time to book your free ticket here and join The IARS International Institute to celebrate inspirational young people and their projects!
