The UK’s leading independent music therapy charity, and one of Savoo’s charity partners Nordoff Robbins are back with their ‘Get Loud’ awareness day for the second year running.
After last year’s success, this year they’re promising some of the biggest names in music, who will be performing a series of exclusive gigs up and down the country, all in the name of charity.
On Wednesday 13th September stars including Jake Bugg, Jackmaster, Anne-Marie, and Youngr will be taking to the stage around the country to raise money for Nordoff Robbins and the amazing music therapy work they do for people like Evie, Ed, Eddie, and Genesis.
They’re dedicated to changing the lives of vulnerable and isolated people, supporting thousands of people through their centres and by working in partnership with a wide range of organisations including care homes, schools and hospitals. Music therapy can be life-changing for so many people, which is why Get Loud is a great and fun opportunity to show your support.
You can see a full line up of the events and performers here, and tickets cost just £15 with all profits directly funding the work of Nordoff Robbins.
Get Loud Coffee Shop Sessions
On top of this, their ‘Coffee Shop Sessions’ will be taking place in 500 Caffé Nero coffee shops around the country on the same day. Up-and-coming artists will be playing a series of acoustic gigs, and for just a small donation you can enjoy exclusive performances throughout the day.
Again, all proceeds will be going to Nordoff Robbins. The performances will start from midday, so even if you’re at work you can still pop down in your lunch break to join in the fun.
Paul Ettinger, Business Development Director at Caffe Nero says:
“Get Loud is an ambitious campaign, and we at Caffe Nero are matching that ambition in what we have planned! On the 13th September we will be giving a platform to hundreds of talented, unsigned artists who will perform simultaneously in our stores right across the UK.
“It is the first time we have hosted sessions on this scale, so it will be a real highlight for us that will make a huge amount of noise for Get Loud.”
Julie Whelan, Chief Executive of Nordoff Robbins, adds: “We know how powerful our music therapy can be- it can help some of the most vulnerable and isolated people communicate and connect with the world around them.
“For so many people we work with, music therapy is simply a lifeline. However, we receive no government funding, which is why campaigns like Get Loud are so crucial in helping us raise awareness and ensuring that we can reach all those who need us. So please, join us this year and Get Loud for Nordoff Robbins in any way you can!”
We’ll be heading down to our local Caffé Nero on Wednesday 13th September – will you? It’s a great chance to witness some fantastic live music – and they even have a few surprise big name artists performing in selected stores, so you may see your favourite artist performing in your local Caffè Nero too.
