Top 5 Cadbury Creme Egg Recipes

Only two days to go until Easter Sunday and chocolate is already being passed around here at Savoo (clearly none of us have any self-control!) If you are getting ready for a weekend of Easter egg gorging, then here are five recipes to get your taste buds tingling- all made with the glorious creation that is Cadbury’s Creme Eggs.

Creme Egg Brownies

These creme egg brownies were bought into the office a week ago and lasted approximately five minutes before they were scoffed by the Savoo staff. Dangerously moreish and rich enough to set your productivity levels back by an entire afternoon, they should come with a health risk- don’t say we didn’t warn you! You will need: 

· 185g dark chocolate
· 185g unsalted butter
· 85g plain flour
· 40g cocoa powder
· 3 eggs
· 275g caster sugar
· 6 Cadbury Creme Eggs (fridge cold)

Creme Egg Milkshake

If you thought the creme egg brownies were indulgent, wait until you get a load of this creme egg milkshake. Courtesy of, the recipe makes one tall milkshake or two small milkshakes. But filled with enough sugar, ice cream and cream to possibly exceed your daily calorie intake, it is not for the fainted hearted. Note: UK readers, replace corn syrup with golden syrup.

You will need:

· 2 tablespoons corn syrup
· 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
· ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
· Pinch of salt
· ¾ cup of icing sugar
· 1 cup chocolate ice cream
· ½ cup milk
· One Cadbury creme egg

For the whipped cream

· ¼ cup whipping cream
· 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
· 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Creme Egg Cocktail

Dubbed the ‘world’s most calorific cocktail’ by, the creme egg mojito is the brainchild of Jack Williams, a mixologist for bar owners Late Night London. Designed specifically for the Jewel Bar in Piccadilly Circus, we have managed to get our hands on the recipe for you to try at home if you can’t make it into London for a professionally prepared one.

You will need: 

· 25ml Bacardi Superior rum
· 25ml Mozart chocolate liqueur
· sprig of mint
· 25ml sugar syrup
· dash of lime juice
· dash of soda
· 2 Cadbury Creme Eggs

Creme Egg Cookies

If you don’t have the time or inclination to spend hours in the kitchen but don’t want to miss out on creme egg goodness, try this recipe from Completely fool proof, it doesn’t even require you to do any measuring or mixing; just pop in the oven and away you go.

You will need:

· One block of refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
· Mini Cadbury creme eggs

Technically this fudge doesn’t actually contain any Cadbury eggs at all, but it looks and tastes so convincing you would be forgiven for mistaking it for the real thing. Replace corn syrup with golden syrup if you cannot find it in the shops, and you are ready to go! To get perfectly regular pieces, cut the chocolate into bite size pieces before they completely harden in the fridge. Thanks to for the recipe.

· 1/2 cup corn syrup
· 1/4 cup butter, softened
· 1 tsp vanilla extract
· 3 cup icing sugar
· pinch of salt
· 1 tbsp. milk
· yellow food colouring
· 16 oz. milk chocolate, melted
