Aberdeen Art Gallery

Aberdeen Art Gallery and the adjoining Cowdray Hall and Remembrance Hall are some of Aberdeen's most well-loved and well-known historic buildings. The buildings are held with great affection as a place for recreation, education, learning, reflection and inspiration. Many generations of local people first discovered art and culture in these buildings, through visiting exhibitions, listening to concerts, talks and lectures - inspiring a lifelong love of music, culture and heritage.

By rejuvenating and improving the three much-loved buildings, they aim to create a world-class cultural centre which celebrates art and music and is at the heart of civic and cultural life. The redevelopment project 'Inspiring Art and Music' aims to enrich lives, and is dedicated to providing a world-class cultural space in the heart of Aberdeen.

What makes AAGM different

Since 1885 they’ve been collecting and exhibiting contemporary art for the people of Aberdeen. Their unique acoustic concert hall – the Cowdray Hall - is on the same site as their Aberdeen Art Gallery, creating a fusion of art and music on a single site.

Other ways to support

AAGM are always looking for people to volunteer in one of their many galleries. Or, if you were interested in more of a challenge, why not take part in the Great Aberdeen Run, and support them along the way?
