Age UK London is a regional charity that helps London to love later life by campaigning for older Londoners, working on their behalf, and championing their cause. We work with London borough Age UKs, over five hundred older people’s organisations across the capital, and the national organisation, Age UK.

Did you know...

London is growing. This includes an increasing number of older people, particularly in the oldest age groups – in 2016 over a million Londoners were aged 65+, with 140,000 aged 85+. There are 2.1 million older people (over 50) living in London and that number is increasing all the time. Over half of Londoners aged 65+ have a long term health condition or are disabled, and in 2017 almost 67,000 older Londoners were estimated to have dementia. Age UK London’s aim is to reach out to as many of these people as possible, to improve the quality of their lives and to enhance their status and influence in the capital.

What makes Age UK London different

Although we share a brand name, we are an entirely separate charity to the national Age UK and must raise our own funds every year. Any contribution you can make plays a vital role in helping us to lobby and campaign on the behalf of older Londoners.

Other ways to support

There are loads of ways to get involved with the work of Age UK London. We have designated places in a number of fundraising events throughout the year for a wide range of abilities. Find out how you can get involved! We also offer range of corporate partnerships. Partnering with Age UK London, can ensure your employees and customers engage with our work and contribute to joint successes. We are often on the lookout for volunteers to add to our team who help us with administration in the office.

So, whether you want to give your time by volunteering, taking part in a fundraising event, or helping with our campaigns, we’d be delighted to have you on board!
