Hearing Link was founded in 1972 and is a leading UK charity dedicated to supporting people with hearing loss, as well as their families and friends. The charity was formed from the merging of two separate charities existing to support the needs of deafened soldiers following the first and second world wars.

Did you know...

That one in six people in the UK are affected by hearing loss?

The Hearing Link team dreams of a world where everyone can enjoy life and participate fully and confidently, whatever their level of hearing. The charity exists to create opportunities for people who live with hearing loss; to help them connect with one another, share experiences, and develop the confidence and skills to overcome the daily emotional and practical challenges hearing loss can bring.

They now need your help to raise awareness and understanding of the profound impact hearing loss can have on a person’s life, and the difference Hearing Link can make.

What makes Hearing Link different

Peer volunteers support people with hearing loss directly within their communities, and the charity currently has around 10 volunteers for every staff member.

Hearing Link asks you to share experiences and information, volunteer and just join in!
