National Autistic Society

We are the leading UK charity for autistic people (including those with Asperger syndrome) and their families.

We provide information, support, pioneering services and campaign for a better world for autistic people.

We do so much, but our highlights are eight autism specific schools, over 60 service centres for adults and the UK’s only national autism helpline

Did you know...

1 in 100 people have autism. That’s over 700,000 people in the UK. Together with their families, over 2.8 million people are affected by autism on a daily basis

Autism is a spectrum condition, so it affects everyone differently. Some will need a lifetime of specialist support, while others live independent lives with more minimal support.

What makes National Autistic Society different

We are the only autism charity in the UK that supports people whatever their age, wherever they live and wherever they lie on the autism spectrum
