Strathcarron Hospice is here today for and because of the people of Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth.
Every year, we provide care and support to over 1,400 people with a life-limiting illness or condition, at a time when both they and their family need it most. Our philosophy is about living until you die and we ensure people have every opportunity to achieve their goals right up until the last moment.
Strathcarron is an independent hospice with 85% of their work delivered in people's own homes and in communities across Forth Valley, Cumbernauld & Kilsyth. Their services include a 24-bed inpatient unit, Hospice@Home, Community Nurse Specialists and Lymphoedema clinic. They need to raise £14,315 every single day to keep these services running.
We want to help people to live with their illness and make the most of the time they have. We want to understand what is important to them and enable them to achieve their goals. With good symptom control and support we can enable people to think about and talk about the things that matter most, appreciate the significance of their life and help them to make the most of whatever time they have left.
