This entirely depends on your chosen dog sitter or walker. Sitters set their own rates, and these rates will vary depending on the services they’re offering. With so many different sitters on site it’s easy to find cheaper options, with dog walkers starting at just £10 and dog sitting from just £23 per night. Services have a standard daily rate or a base price, and sitters may then charge additional rates on top of this. However, Rover charges a small 15% service fee from pet sitters and pet owners alike to both cover the costs of hosting the Rover website, their 24/7 support and the Rover guarantee. Sitters will still take home 85% of their earnings per booking, while the service fee for pet owners will never exceed £49 per booking.

Rover will charge your card at the time of booking but will not pay your dog walker or pet sitter until two days after they have completed the services agreed upon. That means if you or your sitter needs to cancel, your funds will be refunded to your account without a fuss.

The Rover Guarantee ensures that both pet owners and pet sitters are supported and covered if something goes wrong. This includes vet care for injuries to any pets for both the pet owner’s and walker’s or sitter’s pets, any damage to your property and any damages from injuries to third parties.
