Once you have clicked on ‘Join course for free’, you’ll be taken to the bottom of the page where you’ll find a list of options. Choosing ‘Join free’ will take you to a page explaining that the course is about to begin, and giving you the option to receive additional emails about this and other relevant courses. Your course will start on the day you join or the day the course starts, whichever is later.

While you can join for free, you will normally need to pay to upgrade your course or become an Unlimited learner. Some courses offer a free 7 day trial, however you will still need to enter your credit card details in order to join. If you fail to cancel your free trial, Future Learn will charge you after seven days.

You may have the right to cancel or request a refund under certain circumstances, but you will need to check the Future Learn refund policy to see if you qualify.
