Putting together the perfect holiday wardrobe has always been something of a fine art. Do we attempt to fit our full spring/summer collection into a sturdy suitcase or do we cherry-pick from the items we love the most? According to recent research we really can have it all on our annual breaks and, unsurprisingly, we can only do this by giving a thumbs up to our yes, no and maybe piles. If capsule wardrobes were the name of the game in seasons gone by then this summer's 'excess baggage' is definitely an appropriate term. After all, why showcase only a few outfits on a 7-day break when you can dazzle the tourist hoards with a full 28?

If diamonds are a girl's best friend, then Elizabeth Taylor certainly had no shortage of chums. This week her legendary jewellery collection went on sale and, in true legend style, records were broken. Speaking of breaking records, world famous androgynous male model Andrej Pejic has been hired to model push-up bras! Yes, an unnaturally thin man with nothing more than nipples is modelling push-up bras for ladies! This week's fashion highlights are filled with dreams and delusions.
Party season is almost upon us. Now is the perfect time set up your game plan. Not only do you need to prioritise what events to attend but you also need to plan just what to wear. This is the perfect time to browse through your favourite shoe shop as well. Retailers everywhere are eagerly offering sales and discounts to help you ease into this festive season. So just what are you going to wear?
I've been putting off writing this particular article since last Spring but alas the time has come. Much as I try, I can no longer deny that the fashion of my wasted youth has made its return. The dam broke this morning when I saw the term "90's Grunge" in bold text over at the Telegraph fashion section. Well that does it, the fun, bright 80s nostalgia is on it's way out, forced out by boredom and flannel. My God, it really is the 90s all over again only without the music. Say what you will about the fashion, the music rocked! This is not a music blog-umn though, it's a fashion one. I guess this means I must now attempt to guide you through this 'everything old is new again' trend. Strap up those combat boots, 'cause here we go!
A ladies bag goes by many names; clutch, handbag, shoulder bag, bag, tote, evening bag and so on. While we all believe that we understand the different items that fall under each title, even I will admit to getting a little confused at times. The general rule is that the smaller and more colourfully decorated pieces fall into the evening wear category; those are your clutches and evening bags. From there you move up in size and down in decoration while the names become as sturdy as the piece itself. The order follows as such; handbag, tote, shoulder bag and finally just bag. Every few years the trend of more decorative bags comes along, forcing clutches and evening bags to get even more elaborate in order to compete. It looks as though we are in such a time.
There have been many stories in the tabloids about people who save money using vouchers, mulitbuys, discounts and other smart ways to reduce the everyday cost of living. You've probably seen people who have stockpiled their spare bedroom with enough loo rolls to last a year or two or maybe know a few people who spend hours cutting out 10p coupons from the local free ads.
Well, here at Savoo, we are firm believers in the old adage 'Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves', which is why we've launched the search for the UK's smartest shopper. We're not talking about super scrimping tips like re-using teabags. We 're looking for an altruistic 'someone' who is passionate about saving money and equally passionate about sharing that knowledge with other people.
Of course, the prize isn't too shabby either. The winner will not only receive a hefty £10,000 but he or she will also have the opportunity to work with us to create an award winning, money saving blog.
