Last week, with as much fanfare and excitement as always, Apple tantalised us all with the new iPad which will be launching this Friday, on March 16th. Already we're being told pre-orders have sold out which is pretty much to be expected considering the iPad 2 did exactly the same thing last year. Apple made a big deal of the biggest selling point for the new iPad - it's 4G ability or, on this side of the Atlantic, LTE, aka Long Term Evolution. Only problem is, we don't have LTE here in the UK yet and, even when we do, it turns out that the iPad 3 won't support it!

Have you ever noticed how, round about this time every year, various snippets of research leech their way into the media under the pretense of educating parents on what's best for their kids? Today, for example, we're being told that the happiest kids are the ones who have high tech material items to make them feel good. So, mums and dads, if you want to have a happy child (and therefore be a good parent) you need to start spending - a lot! Really?

Gaming in 2011
For years people have been making the assertion that PC gaming is a dying breed, but there's yet to be any concrete evidence of it ringing true. Both Valve and Blizzard, two of the top developers on ANY platform, have huge PC releases due out in 2011 in the form of Portal 2 and Diablo 3 respectively. Furthermore, with Games for Windows Live and Good Old Games making strong pushes in the distribution front, we may finally see a serious competitor to Valve's Steam platform. But that aside, what else does 2011 have in store?

By alantheirishmanDealPro 8 months ago Apple's Education Store discount is the only consistent way to save money on their products on the site, but keep Black Friday (last Friday in November) on your calendars. It's the only day of the year that Apple actually discounts their products, so it's the day of reckoning for bargain hunters!
