Spring trends you can actually wear- on a budget!

High fashion looks great when it’s strutted down the catwalk by tall skinny models, but when it comes to incorporating trends into your wardrobe it’s an entirely different matter.

We’ve found our favourite spring wardrobe essentials that you can wear without looking like a fashion victim (and included some handy voucher codes to avoid the designer price tag).

1) Smock dress

Smock dresses are huge this spring, and luckily for us they are wonderfully loose-fitting and forgiving. This embroidered Mango boho dress is £39.99 from ASOS and would look perfect paired with a chunky necklace and gladiator sandals.

2) Denim dress

Denim is everywhere, and a dress is the easiest way to pull it off without looking like a 70s throwback. We love this one, £38 from Warehouse, which you could pair with moto boots for a lazy Saturday. Don’t forget to use our code for 25% off dresses!

3) Lace up sandals

These lace up sandals, £29.99 from New Look, are inspired by Michael Kors but a fraction of his designer price tag. The slim and demure silhouette with a subtle point will make you feel like a dainty ballerina (plus they are so damn comfortable).

4) Pop of colour

As we head towards summer colour is getting bolder, and this year it’s all about sunset shades of pastels, corals and red. Brighten up your outfit with the coral tote bag from Dorothy Perkins, just £22. Plus, our Dorothy Perkins discount code gives you 10% off full priced items.

5) Culottes

Culottes are tricky, but if you can get them right then there’s nothing more comfortable and flattering for spring. Adding height to short girls when paired with heels, and creating the illusion of a tiny waist, we aren’t surprised that culottes are all over the high street. Get the look with this £59 pair from Monsoon (and save 10% off your order at the same time).

6) Suede skirt

Suede is back with a bang, and to nail the trend it needs to be in tan or a bright colour. Admittedly pricy at £99.99, this suede skirt from H&M is one of the most wearable out there- boasting a flattering A-line shape, a high waist, and just enough leg showing underneath.

7) Trench coat

Since we can never rely on the British weather, everyone needs a coat to transition from spring to summer. A waterfall style trench coat is a particular favourite on the high street at the moment, like this £59 mac from Miss Selfridge. Remember to get 10% off full priced items!

8) Stripes

Stripes come into fashion every single spring, but they are so classic that we plan on keeping the look in rotation forever. This jersey top from Joules is just £24.95, but if you choose to splash out you can get £10 off orders over £40 with our voucher code.
