AW14 Eye Beauty Trends

AW14 beauty is all about the eyes: sparkly, smudged, dolly lashes- you name it, we’ve seen it on the catwalk. We’ve rounded up our favourite eye trends for this season, and scouted out the best products to help you achieve the look on a budget.

1) Becca brow powder, £17 Beauty Expert. 2) Bobby Brown gel eyeliner, £16.90 Debenhams. 3) Max Factor eye brightening mascara, £6.99 Superdrug. 4) Maybelline cream gel shadow, £10.95 Amazon. 5) Mac glitter, £17. 6) Daniel Sandler blue eyeliner, £9.25 Lookfantastic. 7) Eyelure combination lashes, £3.65 Superdrug. 8) Urban Decay liquid eyeliner, £12.90 Debenhams.

Maxi Brows

Big brows are still big news, so keep those tweezers locked away and embrace the au natural look inspired by Cara Delevingne. Becca brow powder- £17 from Beauty Expert– can be applied wet or dry using a small brush, and will create full and defined eyebrows with minimal effort.

Morning-after eyes

Achieve that ‘just got out of bed’ look with artfully smudged eyeliner- we love Bobby Brown’s long-wear gel eyeliner, £16.90 from Debenhams, which glides on for expert smudging before drying perfectly in place. Line the inside of your lids for maximum grunge.

Blue Eyes

Blue was the AW14 catwalk shade du jour- that’s right, the 90’s beauty staple is back with a bang. If you already have blue eyes, enhance them with Max Factor eye brightening mascara in blue, £6.99 from Superdrug. Alternatively, go punk with Daniel Sandler blue velvet waterproof eyeliner, £9.25 from Lookfantastic.

Get ready for the party season with metallic eyes- anything goes as long as it sparkles! Maybelline cream gel shadow in gold- £10.95 from Amazon- is gorgeous swept over the eyelids, whilst Mac glitter, £17, can pretty much be applied anywhere.

Dolly lashes

Go back to the sixties with full lashes on both the top and bottom of your eyes, offset with nude lips and carefully brushed up brows. Individual false lashes are the best way to achieve the sixties dolly look- try Eyelure’s individual combination lashes, £3.65 from Superdrug.

Cat eyes

Cat eye flicks have been going strong for a few seasons, but still show no signs of going anywhere yet.  Create that perfect flick with Urban Decay waterproof liquid eyeliner, £12.60 from Debenhams.
