Choosing your dream wedding dress is one of the most exciting ventures many of us ladies will ever embark on. And whether you’ve had your ideal dress mapped out in your mind since you were a little girl or if the entire experience is completely new to you, actually tracking down your dream dress for a price you can afford can prove tricky and be slightly overwhelming.
But something most of us don’t really consider is finding a dress that suits your wedding venue and theme. The word ‘practical’ doesn’t usually take precedence on your wedding day but its actually really important that you choose a wedding dress that you feel comfortable in and can float around in unaided, whether you’re inside or outside, come rain or shine.
We’ve put together our top tips for choosing a wedding dress to suit your venue and theme.
Outdoor country wedding dresses
Are you getting married on grass or gravel? Either way, you’ll need to think about the length of your dress and whether you’re comfortable with a muddy dip dye dress should the weather turn a little sour.
Not a good look.
Many brides are comfortable knowing that their dress might get a little dirty and in all honesty, its your wedding day – who cares? But it might be best to go for something that’s easy to pick up and wipe down, so choose something without too many layers like a mermaid or fishtail style dress; or perhaps even go for a short wedding dress and channel your inner modern bride!
