What is Earth Day?
Earth Day began in 1970 as a method of bringing attention to environmental issues across the globe. Since its earliest days, Earth Day has placed a strong focus on education. The damaging effects of pollution and other by-products of business are now well known, but it’s worth remembering that wasn’t always the case.
With the health of the planet on a knife-edge, Earth Day 2022 presents a genuine opportunity to ramp up the speed of change. The theme this year is ‘Invest In Our Planet’ with a real focus on what all of us can do to make a difference. Events will be taking place around the world, with plenty of activities planned across the UK, including public presentations and digital gatherings.
Earth Day is all about highlighting the fact that It’s not too late to steer the planet away from its current damaging course, something that brands like The Body Shop are fully behind.
