TUI often has free child places on selected holidays. This covers children up to age 12 in hotel rooms, or up to 16 in self-catering stays, as long as at least two adults pay in full and share the room. The child’s holiday is completely free, which usually saves families several hundred pounds per child. Savoo’s data show that free places have been available in most years since 2009.
TUI Student Discount via Student Beans
TUI offers a student discount that you can access by verifying your Student Beans status. After you’re verified, the discount will be applied to eligible online bookings. Discounts of between £50 and £250 were previously available, but the savings often change, so it’s advisable to check the TUI website for 17’s latest student deals.
Solo Traveller Discounts
If you are a single adult or a single-parent family, you can get special solo traveller deals and codes that usually give you £100 to £200 off package holidays. You’ll also have more travel choices and deals, particularly on long-haul holidays, making it easier to find a holiday that’s great value for your budget.

TUI has more to offer than flight and hotel deals. Marella Cruises, part of the TUI family, visits over 140 destinations, from glaciers to tropical beaches, and features modern facilities for a comfortable trip. TUI River Cruises also runs European journeys with cultural excursions. Both brands regularly offer cruise discounts of £100-£300.
Plan your TUI Holiday Budget
No matter if you’re heading to Spain for a quick getaway or spending two weeks in Thailand, try the Holiday Budget Calculator to work out how much spending money you will need. For instance, TUI recommends £350 for a 5-day trip to Lisbon in August with all-inclusive and two meals a day. Best Time to Get TUI Discounts
According to historical Savoo deal data, the two most reliably discount-heavy periods at TUI are Black Friday in November and the January Sale that launches in late December. TUI’s Black Friday deals, which run from around 22 November through to 2 December, include some of the biggest holiday savings. Last year, seven separate TUI promo codes ran simultaneously.
In recent years, Black Friday codes have typically offered up to £300 off bookings. If you have a myTUI account, you can expect to access these codes two to three days before they go public.
The January Sale has run every year since at least 2009. Codes typically go live between 19 and 26 December and run through to late February or early March. They apply to summer departures for the following year, using the same tiered discount structure as Black Friday. Roughly £100 off smaller bookings, scaling up to £300 to £400 off larger ones.
How TUI Codes Actually Work
If a family books a two-week summer holiday for two adults and one child for about £2,000, TUI often has codes that take around £200 off. This brings the price down to about £1,800. If the holiday also comes with a free kids' place, you save even more, since the child's share is removed on top of the code discount, as long as both offers can be combined.
A solo traveller booking a seven-night package for about £900 can use the tiered code system. In the past, bookings over £800 have usually received about £100 off. If you book through the TUI app instead of the website, you can save even more, since app-only codes often give an extra £10 off. So, on a £900 booking, you could save around £110 before adding any other deals.
If you are booking a Marella Cruise, the discount codes work differently. TUI cruise codes usually offer between £100 and £300 off each booking, and according to Savoo's data, many of these codes do not require a minimum spend. For example, if two people book a Canaries cruise, a £200 cruise code gives you a straightforward saving with no minimum spend or complicated tiers.

- Savoo’s data shows that about 60% of TUI promotions need a voucher code at checkout. The other 40% are automatic discounts, so the lower price is already shown.
- Package holiday codes commonly have minimum spend thresholds, often starting at around £800, with larger discounts available on more expensive bookings.

- Since 2024, TUI has regularly run separate discounts for logged-in myTUI members alongside public offers, giving eligible customers access to an additional saving.
