How to save money at National Trust
Want to explore the history of Great Britain? Get a National Trust membership to get unlimited access to the UK's historic sites and places of natural beauty. Check out these offers to get a cracking deal on your next National Trust membership.
Choose the right membership type
Signing up for the correct membership can save you money every month. Individual membership is charged at £6 per month per person. Become a member with someone else under the joint membership for just £10 between you - saving you almost £25 for the year.
There are also money saving benefits to a family membership, which includes two adults that live at the same address and up to 10 children aged 17 or under. At just £120 a year, this is a huge saving in comparison to individual memberships. What better excuse for a good family day out on the cheap? You can also get a family membership for just one adult, which is charged at £75 a year.
Check out junior and senior membership offers
Junior membership applies to anyone under 18 and is just £10 per month. All junior memberships come with a free age-appropriate welcome pack. Senior members aged 60 or over receive a 25% discount off adult rates. To take advantage of this offer you have to have had a membership for at least five of the last 10 years.
Save money with lifetime membership benefits
History buffs can benefit from fantastic membership rates with a lifetime membership. Lifetime member benefits include free parking at most National Trust car parks, a free handbook every year, a free magazine three times a year and a free welcome pack. Life membership is charged at £1,695 and includes free admission for one accompanying guest every time you visit a site. Again, you can save money if you get a joint life membership, which is charged at £2055, or a family membership, which is charged at £2255.
Free magazine for members
Get access to the exclusive member’s magazine when you join. Published three times a year, the magazine is packed with behind the scenes stories, lovely photography and inspiration to visit the many places available with a membership. Think of it as a thank you from the company for helping them to look after all of the special places around the country they manage.
Does the National Trust do gift membership or gift cards?
Do you know someone with a passion for culture and heritage? A National Trust gift card would make for a welcome gift. There are a number of ways a friend or loved one can get the most out of their gift card - from relaxing in a holiday cottage to going on a shopping spree or exploring over 500 unique places.
Gift cards can be redeemed at most National Trust shops and restaurants, on admission or memberships. They can be put towards National Trust holidays. Choose between a physical or digital gift card that can be personalised from you - a great solution if you need to send a thoughtful gift quickly.

To access this offer, take your membership card to the pay machine and place it in the scanner provided. Depending on how many sites you visit, you could end up saving over £100 a year just on parking fees alone.
