If your stockist doesn't have any deals on your perfume when you look, head to a department store like Selfridges, Liberty London, House of Fraser, John Lewis or Debenhams.   • Utilise free samples. Most, if not all, perfumers offer small sample sizes in order for you to trial a scent before plumping for the big size. Fragrance fans will know that the way a perfume smells on your skin varies from person to person, so to ensure your new buy suits you try it out in a sample size first. Not only will you get a week's free perfume use, you'll save yourself money by not getting stuck with a non-refundable product.

  • Subscribe to a membership. For the true perfume fanatics amongst you, a fragrance membership is our top recommendation in order to save on your scent habits. It's important to know you'll be getting the most of your membership, so check the T&Cs first - do you get to select your own fragrances to try? How often do they get sent out? If you love to try new scents regularly, a membership is the best way to do that without breaking the bank.

  • Qualify for free delivery. If you're purchasing your fragrance from a department store, think about some everyday essentials they also stock (toothpaste, hand towels, or wine glasses) that you can add to the cart alongside your chosen cologne or aftershave. This is a simple yet effective way to kill two birds with one stone, and save a couple of pounds on separate deliveries.

  • Follow your favourite fragrance maker on social media. We can't think of an easier way to find out about the latest deals and discounts on all kinds of fragrances than to follow your favourite brands on social media. This is often the first place a brand will announce a new 2 for 1 deal, freebie or sale. Instagram and Facebook are particularly helpful, as you can set up alerts and be the first to know when they've posted about a brand new discount.

  • Use stacked discounts wherever you can (that's your student, NHS, veterans or employee discount, and any voucher codes you find here on Savoo!) As always, don't forget to check whether you can apply a secondary deal to an already discounted product.
