Dreams Come True

Dreams Come True is a national charity that exists to bring happiness to children and young people with serious and life-limiting conditions by making their most treasured dreams come true. The charity's vision is to ensure that every life-limited child has the opportunity to have their dream come true. These dreams can include anything as simple as going on holiday to something more unique such as meeting a pop star. The team at Dreams are highly experienced to ensure that every child has a memorable experience fulfilling their dreams since this makes the person feel empowered. Since the charity began in 1988 it has changed the lives of over 6,000 children as well as their families or carers across the UK. While the charity has achieved so much, they receive no government funding so rely entirely on voluntary contributions to continue their work.

How donations make an impact

£20 will provide pocket money or currency to spend on a child’s trip.

£30 will provide a special day out.

£40 will provide multi-sensory toys.

You might be surprised to find out

Dreams is the only national charity dedicated to meeting the needs of children from age 2 up to the age of 21.

In December 2013, the brand Felicity Wishes teamed up with Dreams Come True to help children get palliative care. They have become an ambassador for the charity and help make dreams turn into reality.

Other ways to support

Supporters can further support this charity by joining their team of volunteers and helping to promote their work. Whether you have an hour or a day, volunteers bring a great deal of experience to the work of the charity and in return you will be given a rewarding experience.

If you are feeling extra creative, participate in an event where there is an event for everyone. This can be anything such as the bike ride from London to Paris or a ‘dream night out’ where you have a fun night out and then donate the money spent on the whole night to Dreams.
