Did you know...

We were started by a small group of parents and now support over 110 children and young people in Leeds.

We offer Speech & Language therapy, fun & social activities, individual family support, advocacy & raising awareness in the wider community, but we know there is so much more to do!

Down Syndrome is a genetic condition resulting in a level of learning disability and a range of physical features. It is also one of the most common causes of a learning disability.

What makes Sunshine and Smiles different

We are the only specific support network in Leeds.

We are aware that everyone’s needs are different, and as such, we would like the support we offer to be as individual as possible depending on the needs of each family.

Other ways to support

Volunteering on a regular basis, team challenge days, taking on a personal fundraising challenge, donating cakes, books & nearly new items for our fundraising events.
