Having cancer at a young age comes with its own particular set of challenges, that’s why the Teenage Cancer Trust created a renowned service that provides life-changing care and support for young people so they don’t have to face cancer alone.

Over the last 28 years, Teenage Cancer Trust has built a fantastic team of staff and volunteers who are inspired daily by the amazing young people who are treated on their units. Find out more on the amazing work they do, and how you can help right here.

Did you know...

Every day, 7 young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer" every day? They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through the toughest times they may ever have to face. That’s why the work that the Teenage Cancer Trust does is so important.

How your support helps

The Teenage Cancer Trust team have been dedicated to providing specialist care and support for when young people need it most. Here’s exactly how they’re making a difference to young people with cancer and why your support is so important.

They've built world-class specialist facilities in 28 hospitals across the UK, providing a home away from home for young people while they receive treatment. And they fund specialist nurses and youth support co-ordinators to support the young people in these facilities day-in, day-out.

A dedicated Education Team travels around the country talking to young people about the importance of being able to spot the signs of cancer, while breaking down stigmas that normally stop people from talking about it.

Losing your hair following treatment for cancer can be a big shock, especially as a young person. That’s why the Teenage Cancer Trust teamed up with Hair4U, award winner hairdresser Charlie Miller and some of the UK's top salons to ensure every young person with cancer has the option to choose a real hair wig for free!
