The Royal Parks charity is responsible for 5,000 acres of historic parkland across London, including eight of the city’s largest green spaces; Hyde Park, The Green Park, Richmond Park, Greenwich Park, St James’s Park, Bushy Park and The Regent’s Park, and Kensington Gardens. The Royal Parks also manage several other open spaces in London including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens.

The charity relies on support from people who care about protecting these vital spaces - home to the city’s wildlife, home to amazing history and home to precious memories.

The main charitable objectives are:

  • to protect, conserve, maintain and care for the Royal Parks

  • to promote the use and enjoyment of the Royal Parks for public recreation, health and well-being

  • to maintain and develop the biodiversity of the Royal Parks, including the protection of their wildlife and natural environment

  • to support the advancement of education

  • to promote national heritage
