Newham Music

Newham Music, the award-winning Music Education Hub for the London Borough of Newham is committed to bringing high-quality music education experiences to the doorstep of all children and young people across the borough. They inspire lives through music regardless of economic, ethnic, or religious background, unifying and motivating children and young people across the borough. Newham Music is a regional leader in music education, providing whole-class music tuition, individual lessons, and special projects and events to over 15,000 children and young people each year.

They are motivated by the children and young people of Newham – their needs now, their life-chances into the future, and the opportunities they represent.

Did you know...

Newham Music provides many of their projects and events at no cost to the children and young people who take part.

An entire class of primary students can learn an instrument for one hour for just £30.

They offer a range of music activities from traditional lessons to drop-in band jam sessions and music production courses.

What makes Newham Music different

Many music services offer individual music lessons and a few orchestras or choirs to join. Newham Music organises over 70 projects, events and performances each year in addition to our in-school offer. Their young musicians have performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Olympic Park, and the Barbican Centre.

They explore the world and all its cultures through music. They use music to communicate when language is a barrier. Newham Music is dedicated to offering the most innovative and exciting musical education experiences to all the children and young people of Newham.
