Did you know...
The Kent MS Therapy Centre has been operating since 1984 and was initially set-up by people with MS for people with MS living in Kent. In January 2015, we moved into our brand new purpose built Therapy Centre in Canterbury which has enabled us to offer more therapies and additional support clinics.
What makes Kent MS Therapy Centre different
The Kent MS Therapy Centre is the only dedicated Therapy Centre in Kent that operates six days a week to support people who are suffering from MS and we do this by providing a range of non-invasive therapies which help to relieve the symptoms of MS and improve quality of life.
The Centre currently has 877 members: 484 have MS, 92 are carers/family members and 301 have other long-term health conditions such as Cancer, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia to name but a few. It is reported that there are between 5-20 people being newly diagnosed with MS each month in East Kent, so demand for the Centre is growing all of the time.
Other ways to support
We need to raise £586,000 to run our services and as an independent charity, we do not receive any Government or NHS funding. Every penny has to be raised from charitable donations and fundraising activities and we urgently need your help so we can continue providing our vital services.
Outside of donations, we are always in need of volunteers to assist with service delivery, to provide administrative support, to carry our gardening duties and to help at fundraising events.
