Surrey Wildlife Trust is the only charity dedicated solely to protecting and conserving local wildlife in the county for everyone to enjoy. It manages over 80 nature reserves, works with other landowners to improve their land for wildlife and inspires people to get involved through wildlife experiences and education activities.

Did you know...

SWT manages over 5% of the county’s countryside. It has a large and loyal membership of over 26,000 supporters and its work would not be possible without the year round help of its army of volunteers – almost 2000 of them!

What makes SWT different

SWT protects and improves Surrey’s green spaces allowing the county’s wildlife to survive and thrive. It provides opportunities for every sector of the community to get outside and enjoy nature on their doorsteps. Its citizen science projects such as RiverSearch and Hedgerow Heroes, enable local communities to get involved with working for wildlife in Surrey. And the Trust’s education teams inspire more than 15,000 people of all abilities every year to connect with nature and the outdoors.
