A sale typically launches in the second week of November, and a Matalan code has followed in the third week. Discounts often run into early December, with sale discounts of between 50% and 75% off available across fashion and homeware, along with codes offering 20-25% off full-price items. The sale page and the full-price code run simultaneously but can't be combined.

The end of the month is another optimum time for Matalan deals. Since 2024, payday-labelled codes appear around the 23rd to the 31st of each month. These typically offer up to 25% off, depending on how much you spend. Payday discounts are easy to miss because they seldom last more than 7 days, but they are a regular fixture in the calendar if you time your Matalan shopping right.

There is also evidence that June and July are great months for strong Matalan offers. Look out for holiday shop and seasonal event codes offering up to 25% off. With a 3 for 2 offer on kidswear, if the three items together would normally cost £24, you pay £16 because the cheapest item is free.
