Save the Children Fund

Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. In the UK and around the world, we work every day to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. When crisis strikes, and children are most vulnerable, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave. We ensure children’s unique needs are met and their voices are heard. We deliver lasting results for millions of children, including those hardest to reach.

We do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.

Did you know...

Founded in 1919, Save the Children is the world’s leading independent organisation for children. We work hard to reach every last child in the toughest parts of the world.

In 2017, the Save the Children movement reached almost 50 million children worldwide, including 10 million children supported in emergencies across 60 countries.

In the UK, we supported 18,000 children through our programmes aimed at improving the early learning of young children living in poverty.

What makes Save the Children different?

We have nearly 100 years of child-focused expertise and we deliver programmes in 120 countries across six continents. We deliver a breadth of care across the child population and strive to help the most deprived and vulnerable children.
