Dragonfly Cancer Trust supports children and young cancer patients with limited time and works collaboratively with cancer hospitals across the U.K. Cash Gifts of up to £500 are given to young cancer patients to spend on pain free days to create special memories with family and loved ones. The gifts empower young patients at a time when cancer has taken most control away. Memories are everything and ease the pain of losing a loved one. They passionately believe in the importance of happy memories and work tirelessly to make them happen for young people and their families.

The charity provides Cash Gifts and organises Dragonfly Dreams for young patients up to the age of 24 years old, helping families and young couples create precious and lasting memories together.

Their Footprint Fund provides grants for those who are left behind to create something special in their memory, ensuring young people can leave their footprint on the world.

How donations make an impact

£5 will enable a young person to create lasting memories with loved ones.

£20 will fund a special glass heart which will be kept as a parting gift.

£25 will pay for entry into one of the many children’s attractions across the country.

£100 will fund some special birthday treats or spending money to use on a short break.

£500 will enable a young person to regain control at a time when all hope is lost. It will help them to do things to create memories which will last a lifetime.

What makes Dragonfly Cancer Trust different

Each request the charity receives is unique to the young person and their team never know what the next request will be, or how quickly they will need to act. Dragonfly Cancer Trust understands how valuable each day is for the young people they support and as a small organisation, they are able to make things happen extremely quickly, often having arrangements in place for a family within 48 hours of receiving the request.
