Providing high quality services that inspire and support disabled children, young people and adults to achieve their ambitions. Quite simply – Achievement for All.

 Did you know...

The Percy Hedley Foundation was set up in 1953 by determined parents in the North East who wanted a way to meet the needs of their children with cerebral palsy.

65 years on, we provide a range of services that support people with cerebral palsy, communication impairments, sensory impairments, complex learning, social care and therapeutic needs. We support more than 1,000 people each year. We run two schools and a college, residential care for children and adults and a range of adult services which encourage the development of enterprise, independence and employment.

Our vision is ‘inspire, believe, achieve’. We believe that everyone we support has a right to live, learn and grow throughout their lives, and are constantly developing our services to ensure they meet the needs of everyone we support.

 What makes Percey Hedley Foundation

The Percy Hedley Foundation provides a unique level of bespoke care and education for every child, young person and adult who comes to us. Our teachers, therapists and support staff work together to create individual programmes that promote personal growth, achievement and access to opportunities.

Other ways to support

Supporters can help us in many ways such as through volunteering in our services or helping with fundraising events, collections and placing collection boxes in retail outlets. They can recommend us to their employer as a charity partner or to their local community group as a beneficiary. They can also get together with friends to organise fundraising events such as coffee mornings, quiz nights etc. in aid of our work.
