Youth Work changes lives. We are the largest youth group membership organisation in Scotland delivering quality youth work programmes, information, resources, training and support to community-based youth work.

The organisation has been in existence for more than 80 years and has a membership of 1,209 groups, with 60,841 young people and 7,396 youth workers.

We have provided formal recognition of youth achievement in youth work for over 40,000 young people. The Youth Scotland membership is diverse, ranging from small rural youth groups to large urban projects. The common goal that we all share is better outcomes for young people.

Did you know...

Young people develop and test some of their most important life skills through community-based youth work in Scotland. The majority of these services are delivered by local volunteers providing a safe and social environment for young people to grow and develop. Youth Scotland’s services are directed at supporting these volunteers to ensure that they are supported to deliver the best life chances for young people.
