Did you know...
UK Youth has positively impacted 729,694 young people through the infrastructure support we provide to community based youth groups across the country.
68,583 of these young people have taken part in a UK Youth national project or attended Avon Tyrrell, our outdoor activity centre in the New Forest National Park.
The young people we work with come from all walks of life, as we provide an open access service. However, we have observed that 79.5% of young people we support come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Our most recent impact evaluation has seen young people identify an increase of over 20% in many of their crucial life and employability skills such as communication, problem solving and self-esteem.
What makes UK Youth different
Our History – UK Youth is over 100 years old which makes us a fundamental part of the youth sector
Our Home - UK Youth’s historical base is our Outdoor Activity Centre at Avon Tyrrell in the New Forest National Park. This facility provides just over 17,000 young people each year with the opportunity to learn outside the classroom setting.
Our Reach – being an umbrella organisation for a national network of youth clubs and projects we are able to reach over 700,000 young people across the UK
Our Programmes – we run a diverse range of programmes from The Big Music Project to Digital Youth Hubs which enable young people to gain the skills they need to succeed in life.
