Bright Ideas Trust

They are a charity that helps young people who are not in employment, education or training or who haven’t had the same chances as the rest of society to start their own business. Since launching in 2007, they have helped thousands of young people, many from disadvantaged backgrounds, to start their own business and understand how business works.

They help beneficiaries’ access start-up finance through the start-up loans company.

What makes Bright Ideas Trust different

They match every young person with a mentor who works with them for the first twelve months.

They host a Bright Ideas Club event every two months as an informal networking event for young people. They have guest speakers who are established business owners as well as a beneficiary who they have previously helped. Along with their founder, Tim Campbell MBE giving young people a chance to connect and share business problems as well as receiving advice from our guest panel.

They also deliver workshops in schools, colleges and youth organisations to help young people gain business skills and knowledge to start their own businesses.

They engage with prisons, housing associations and many other organisations providing projects for young people.
