What makes Hire a Hero different
We are committed to doing whatever it takes for as long as it takes to make the transition into meaningful civilian employment. We have no restrictions on service leavers accessing our service, support is offered regardless of length of service, rank of service leaver and reason for discharge.
We work with service leavers on a one-to-one basis offering career coaching and employment advice and support, it is a very individualised service, which is highly regarded.
Service Leaver and Veterans can be from any of all three of the armed forces; The British Army, The Royal Navy or The Royal Airforce.
We are 100% self-funded and have been since 2011, we raise funds by holding events such as; Annual Boxing; Prestigious Golf Day; Half Marathons etc., for our corporate sponsors and supporters.
Other ways to support
We at Hire a Hero have seen a great number of people wanting to be involved and help the transition of service leavers. Many of those coming forward to volunteer with the charity have done so as a Hire a Hero Career Coach.
At Hire a Hero we train volunteer Career Coaches who work with service leavers and provide individual support during transition. This can be across a number of different areas but the one-day training day, along with on-going support from the team, aims to equip potential volunteers with all the skills needed to be a confident Career Coach.
