Playlist for Life

Playlist for Life is a music and dementia charity. Based on scientific evidence, we teach people how to use the unique ‘soundtrack to their life’ to manage symptoms, maintain relationships and improve the wellbeing of people with dementia, their families and carers. It is our aim that every person with dementia in the UK has access to a playlist of personal music

Did you know...

Music can bring back feelings, memories and somtimes even abilities thought lost. We are based on 25 years of scientific research . There are lots of free resources and advice on making personal playlists on our website and we have Help Points across the UK staffed by dementia-friendly volunteers

What makes Playlist for Life different

Music can make living with dementia easier and happier and the positive news is that anyone can make a playlist. The challenge is that millions of people still don’t know that music can help. Playlist for Life is raising awareness and working with our partners to ensure people living with dementia can have access to the music that has soundtracked their lives.

Other ways to support

You can help us raise awareness about the special benefits of personal music by telling someone and suggesting they make a playlist. Make your own playlist and write down the memories associated with your favourite tunes. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter and share our news and advice or volunteer for us
